G5 Camp

For many of our grade five campers, this was the first time they would spend a night away from home, or out under the stars.

Before reaching our campsite, students underwent a grueling hike along the Great wall in the hot sun, and through cool shady forests.

After making camp amidst the chestnut grove, students made medallions from slices of tree branches and fallen chestnuts, found around their tents.

As the sun goes down and the stars come out, inspired by the flickering light of the campfire, some students attempt to paint with the light from their torches, recording the images on their Ipads.

The following day students paint their memories of their camp experience on rocks they have found around the campsite.
